Review of
mStation V1 by InCars magazine
mStation will change the way you store and listen to music. Imagine having a
small jukebox containing your entire music collection, allowing you to listen to
any track from every album you have ever owned, instantly - that's mStation!
Compact as a CD auto changer, mStation is easily added to your existing car
stereo and stores over 3000 per 10Gb of your all-time
favourite songs, allowing you to
listen to any one of them instantly.
Working in conjunction with your PC, you can transfer any of your own CDs to
mStation in less than 6 minutes using a specially developed version of Real
Jukebox Plus - probably the world's favourite jukebox software.
Why are we selling them so cheaply? Traxdata were the UK distributor for this
product, fortunately for you they went in to liquidation (not so fortunate for
them). We bought this stock and can offer it a very advantageous
price. The product is Badged TraxData on the packaging but is similar to
units sold by major Car HiFi vendors at much higher prices. 1
year RTB warranty

DISK Specifications:
We do NOT have a definitive
list of disk drives that work in the mStation. The mStation is NOT
a PC and will NOT take
just any IDE disk drive. Here are a few guide lines to what may or may not work:
All figures are by observation and only estimates... Don't rely on
their accuracy or variability from one unit to another.
Damage to the mStation by using a unsuitable disk is not covered by warranty.
Damage to your Disk is not covered by the mStation warranty.
The mStation unit can only supply a limited amount of power to the disk
drive. This is most important at start-up where most disks require double
their running current. Typically the operating current of a working disk should
be Less than 0.9A Max. and a Start current circa 1.7A. THIS
EXCLUDES Most 7200RPM Disks. The use of disks outside this specification may
damage the unit.
Please Note: In the event of a warranty claim units will be Void of warranty
unless returned with a working compatible disk.

- Most Notebook disk will probably work with an adapter
- The Disk MUST be set to be a MASTER
- Disks with only three select options ( Master, Slave, Cable Select ) are
more likely to work
- Disks with four Select options ( Master, Master with Slave, Slave, Cable
