Respirators are PPE and are designed and used to reduce the potential exposure of the wearer to airborne hazardous contaminants. 3M™ 1800 Series Disposable Respirators reduce the wearer’s exposure to airborne micro-organisms.
The un-valved and the shrouded valve respirators can additionally act as
both a respirator and a splash resistant surgical mask (by reducing patient contamination caused by exhaled organisms from health care professionals and protecting the wearer from blood and body fluids splashes).

Recommended for AVIAN FLU/SARS/TB/EBOLA infection control by the World Health Organisation. The 3M 1863 Healthcare respirator meets the requirements of EN149:2001 FFP3 and can be used to protect the wearer in concentration of solid and non-volatile liquid particles up to 20 times the OEL (Occupational Exposure Limit), CE Approved. 3M Health Care Respirators comply with the EC Directive 89/686. This product is intended for use in infection control practices.

FFP3 masks protest both the wearer against pathogens in the environment and prevents the wearer form spreading  pathogens to other people.

This stock is classified as ''Brand New but old Stock''. Expiry date 2014/05, Applies to medical use only. Expiry date 2014/05, Extended from 2012/05 by 3M for a further 2 years, see letter in listing. It's up to you what you use these masks for, all details in description, may be used for many applications, such as a simple dust mask. As the the masks are past their expiration date, maybe 3M would further extend the expiry date, we don't know, it is your decision on use. We are not recommending that they offer full EN149:2001 FFP3 medical protection to viruses.

  • Please note, that all un-valved respirators (3M™ 1861, 3M™ 1862 and 3M™ 1863 Respirators) and the shrouded valve respirator (3M™ 1883 Respirator) meet the new requirements of Type IIR with the European Standard EN14683:2005 and comply with the requirements of the Medical Devices Directive (93/42/EEC) as Class 1 devices.
