Getting Your own access - To get permanent access to a web server device such as a DVR you require one free STATIC IP Address. Your ISP may use static addresses or Dynamic IP addresses, if your ISP uses dynamic addresses you may need to use a DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Server) account to translate your Dynamic address into a Static address. This is not a function is this DVR but common to all DVR and networking devices that you need to be permanently available on the web.
