Features

The Compaq HB3220 is dual-speed, 12 port stackable, Fast Ethernet hub, which give customers the most flexible and cost effective migration path from 10Mbps to 100Mbps available today.

The hub also brings unprecedented modular flexibility on several levels including management, switching, media and stacking.  These capabilities give small to mid-size businesses and enterprise users the most flexible network performance capabilities available at a low cost.  Both units are ideally designs and priced to meet the requirements of today's expanding networks.

New & Boxed Compaq P/N 349600-001.  Compaq manufacturer's warranty.

Technical Specification
  • Performance - Compaq sets a new standard for performance by providing the industry's most cost-effective and flexible dual-speed, stackable, Fast Ethernet hubs. The HB3320 is ideally suited for customers with networks running both 10Mbps and 100Mbps, and who intend to gradually upgrade more users to Fast Ethernet. The hub runs at  10Mbps and 100Mbps with auto-negotiating on every port, and a single switching module supports 10Mbps with 100Mbps connectivity for the entire stack.
  • Flexibility - The hubs stack six units high, providing the most cost-effective dual-speed, high-port density available today. With 12 ports per unit, the hub allows for up to 72 dual-speed, managed ports in a single stack, which allows for future network expansion. Because these hubs are Class II compliant, users can double the size of the network simply by connecting to another stack for a total of 144ports. Also, if users need a high level of network resiliency, users can add more than one SNMP management module and switch module to a stack for full switch and management redundancy.
  • Manageability - The Compaq HB3320  allows more than one SNMP-supported management module per stack, reassuring users of redundant stack management if they need it. The backup management module mirrors configuration information in the primary management module so users never have to start from scratch to reconfigure their network. Also, each management module ships with Compaq Networking Management Software (CNMS), among the most user-friendly, fully automated, and proactive Windows or Web-based management modules available.
  • World Class Compaq Reliability - Designed with quality and investment protection in mind, these dual-speed, stackable, Fast Ethernet hubs meet all of Compaq's demanding design and manufacturing standards.
  • Uplink Capabilities - The IEEE 802.3u compliant switch uplink connection increases the number of hubs allowed within a network and extends the distances between hubs well beyond the Fast Ethernet standard guidelines, allowing maximum network expansion and design flexibility. Switch uplink modules provide 10Mbps and 100Mbps connectivity inside the hub and also switch to the outside world via a copper or fiber port. The switch media modules isolate collision domains allowing hierarchical network configurations.
  • Front-Panel LEDs - Multicolored front-panel LEDs provide "at-a-glance" diagnostics for power, 10/100 collision, speed, and active management modules.
  • Warranty - Three-year Compaq limited warranty
  • Rack Mount - 19-in rackmount kit included.
